[语法] made of 和 made from 有啥区别？

be made from 和 be made of 都可以表示“用什么东西做的”，但用法上还是有区别。
“be made from something” 是指“用某种原料制造出来”，这种原料经过制造，已经看不出原来的模样。
Paper is made from trees.
纸张源自于树木。
Plastic is made from petroleum.
塑料是用石油制造的。
纸张和塑料已经是最后的成品，而 wood 和 petroleum 都是原材料，所以要用 be made from。
再来看“be made of”，也表示“用某东西制造出来”，但不同的是，你还是可以看出原料，比如：
The ring is made of gold.
这枚戒指是金字做的。
This desk is made of wood.
这张桌子是用木头做的。
戒指和桌子都能一眼看出原材料吧？故而用 be made of。
最后再送一颗彩蛋：
made with
“made with something” 是指“用某材料做成”，通常用在“烹饪”上。比如：
Mojito is a kind of cocktail made with Rum, lime juice, and soda water.
莫吉托是一种鸡尾酒，用朗姆酒、青柠汁、苏打水做的。
Sushi is made with raw fish and rice.
寿司是用生鱼和米饭做的。
This salad is made with lettuce, tomato, diced ham.
这沙拉是用生菜、番茄和火腿丁做的。
