[语法] overtime 和 over time，有无空格含义完全不同！

overtime 和 over time 这两种拼法都对，也都是标准英语，但两者的意思截然不同，千万不可混淆。
先看 overtime（无空格）。
它可用作名词或副词，做名词时（不可数）意为“加班、加班费”。例如：
1.If your normal workweek consists of 40 hours of work but you work for an additional 10 hours, then those 10 hours are considered overtime.
译：如果你每周正常工作时数为 40 小时，但你多工作了 10 小时，那这 10 小时就被视为加班。
2.You can earn some overtime by working after 6.00 p.m.
译：你可以工作到六点以后，赚些加班费。
除了“加班；加班费”之外，当名词用的 overtime 还可以表示“(运动比赛的) 加时赛”。例如：
Liverpool had won the game in overtime.
译：利物浦队通过加时赛赢得了比赛。
Overtime 当副词时意为“加班地”，通常与动词 do 或 work 连用。例如：
1.You need to do overtime this weekend.
译：你这周末得加班。
2.I’m working overtime to get the job done on time.
我正在加班以按时完成这项工作。
再来看 over time（有空格）。
这是副词短语，表示“随时间的推移，渐渐地”，相当于 with time 或gradually，例如：
One’s temper changes over time.
一个人的脾气随着时间的推移会发生改变。
