显然，如此数量庞大的人口，对于人口仅三亿出头的一般美国人而言，在震惊之余，更多的是好奇的讨论：

US will be like India for sure. First, the ancestor of US came from Europe where they had very liitle experience and ability to hold on to a big entity. They had too much individualism to unite together.

Rome is one exception but their existence doesn't last long as there are so many enemies around. China was isolated from the west(thankfully) for much part of history. China has central rule which has been in existence for a large part of history and had the experience to rule by central rule.
当然罗马是个例外，但是罗马持续的时间也不是太久，因为它的周围有太多的敌人了。谢天谢地的是，中国在历史上的大部分时间里，它与西方世界是隔绝的。中国在大部分时间里是中央统治的，在中央统治方面有着充足的经验。

US should have been a third world country like India. Democracy simply wont function in a 1 billion+ populated country. The country should have been in complete chaos. its like applying the rules in a family of 3 members on a 14 member family.

@The Knight，I agree with you，Just look at the history of Rome. They over expanded got over crowded and started to collapse. Not even the Coliseum games were able to control the population surplus. With limited resources they started to decay and eventually a civil war separated the empire. If you pay attention the US is heading the same path.
