Gary Smulyan is considered among critics and fans as the outstanding baritone saxophonist in nowadays jazz, since many years he is on top of the “Downbeat Reader and Critic Polls”. Smulyan started working with the Woody Herman Thundering Herd in 1978, moved to New York in 1980 und joined the Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra. In his stellar career he worked with outstanding stars and legends such as Freddie Hubbard, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Chick Corea, Tito Puente, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Diana Ross and many more. He is still a member of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra and works also with the Dave Holland Big Band, the Dizzy Gillespie All Star Big Band and also the Joe Lovano Nonet.

Since 2012 Gary Smulyan has worked in various projects with the Austrian drummer Bernd Reiter who studied in Graz and New York and lives now in Paris. Despite his youth Reiter has played and recorded with many international jazz stars such as Harold Mabern, Eric Alexander, Kirk Lightsey, Don Menza, Steve Grossman, Charles Davis, Claudio Roditi and many more. In 2016 Gary Smulyan released his latest album “Royalty at le Duc” for the Sunnyside label in New York which was recorded live at the prestigious jazz club “Duc des Lombards” in Paris and features also Bernd Reiter on drums.

Pianist Oliver Kent is a main figure on the European jazz scene since many years and has collaborated with Sheila Jordan, Clark Terry, Kurt Elling, Jon Hendricks, Bennie Maupin, Benny Bailey, Jimmy Cobb, Johnny Griffin, and many more.

The German bassist Martin Zenker is one of the most active musicians in nowadays jazz and has collaborated with jazz giants such as Jimmy Cobb, Herb Geller, Billy Hart, James Moody, Steve Grossman, Jim Snidero, and many more. From 2008 Martin Zenker was professor for double bass and jazz history in Seoul (KOR) for four years, right now he is building up a jazz school in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) with the Goethe-Institute.
德国贝斯手 Martin Zenker 是当今爵士乐中最活跃的音乐家之一，并与 Jimmy Cobb, Herb Geller, Billy Hart, James Moody, Steve Grossman, Jim Snidero 等爵士乐巨头合作。从2008年起，Martin Zenker 曾在首尔（KOR）担任了四年双笛和爵士乐教授，现在正在歌德学院与乌兰巴托（蒙古）建立爵士乐学校。
