With his personal project SKIN, Nicola Lancerotti is trying to develop the concept of a polymorphic band, which lineup constantly changes, around his and his bandmates' compositions. Born as a quartet with two saxophones, bass and drums, it has so far taken many different shapes and for this particular series of concerts he'll be joined by Nathaniel Gao on alto sax, Simone Schirru on guitar and Antonio Fusco on drums, old friends and finest musicians on the Chinese scene. They will play mainly originals, but the occasional standard could be part of the menu.

Nicola Lancerotti (IT)
Progressively introduced to the academic world of music by the hand of Master Nino Pellegrini, he started to learn jazz doublebass at the private school Scuola di Musica "G. Bonamici" in Pisa, in 2000. He simultaneously worked with school combos on Mingus, Monk and Parker. He took part into a special 2 years course oriented to the "Piano trio language" with pianist Enio Corsaro and drummer Roberto Traverso. Masters Stefano Battaglia, Paolino Dalla Porta and Fabrizio Sferra taught the course. And as a result of their trio's work over a year time, they were awarded the first prize First Pisa Jazz Contest in 2002. In 2003 he was granted a place for studies on jazz doublebass class at The Hague Conservatory, in the Netherlands. In 2004 he switched to Brussels Conservatory where he studied for two years.

His performances since 2002 have taken him to play in many jazz and nonjazz clubs in Europe as well as in China and Taiwan with various bands, all of which were rich in sound diversity, techniques and repertoire; from the duo to the Big Band, from gipsy jazz to avantgarde, including singersongwriters of French (Brazùk), Arab (Jawhar Basti – winner Octaves de la musique 2014), African (Oghene Kologbo and World Squad), Italian (Giacomo Lariccia), English (Kirsty McGee) tradition or élitepop (Silver Junkie).
Currently he's leading his own group, a two saxesbassdrums quartet with which he's trying to meet the jazz tradition with the innovation of purely improvised music. As sideman he's working with ZOLA quartet, KIND OF BLUE TRIBUTE (Bruno Castellucci, Gino Lattuca, Eve Beuvens, Michel Mainil and Thomas Champagne) and some less steady projects.
自 2002 年开始 Nicola 跟各式风格的乐队一起在世界各地演出，从二重奏至大乐队，从吉普赛爵士至先锋前卫，合作的音乐家有法国创作歌手Brazùk, 有阿拉伯音乐人 Jawhar Basti – winner Octaves de la musique, 也有非洲音乐人 Oghene Kologbo 和 World Squad, 再到英伦摇滚 Kirsty McGee, 传统音乐亦或流行歌曲。
目前 Nicola 主领一支双萨克斯的四重奏乐队，试图融合传统爵士与当代创新。同时还参与ZOLA QUARTET: KIND OF BLUE TRIBUTE (Bruno Castellucci, Gino Lattuca, Eve Beuvens, Michel Mainil and Thomas Champagne)，并偶尔客串一些别的项目。
Simone Schirru (IT)
毕业于卡利亚里的 G.P.da Palestrina 音乐学院爵士吉它专业，之后在比利时 Lemmens 学院获硕士学位，并在大师班中学习，受 D. Douglas, S.Coleman, Butch Morris, Pet Metheny, A. Braxton, Muhal Richard Abrams, G.Fewell, Roscoe Mitchell, W. Nathaniel Gao 高太行 (US)
高太行于2006年获得美国北艾奥瓦大学音乐表演学士学位，于2011年获得纽约城市学院爵士演奏硕士学位。2006年以来活跃在北京爵士音乐界的的萨克斯演奏家和作曲家。作为“红手”五重奏乐队的成员之一和他自己的四重奏和三重奏乐队的主导者，他为北京爵士音乐做出了重要贡献。此外，他还积极参与了其他风格和流派的音乐活动，包括 “Three Sergeants Syndrome”，“北京城市大乐队”，Afrokoko Roots 和 “不一定” 等音乐团体。他参 与了“九门音乐节”、“迷笛爵士节”、“地坛音乐节”、"重庆爵士节"、"海龟岛国际音乐节"等重要演出。
ANTONIO FUSCO (IT)
Antonio Fusco 是欧洲最早期也是最核心的爵士鼓手之一。他不仅一直在圈内非常活跃，同样为爵士乐的新潮流贡献了很多心血，目前他是许多欧洲乐队的成员之一，包括：Giovanni Falzone Contemporary Orchestra, Tino Tracanna Acrobats, Reem Kelani Band, Henrik Jensen Followed By Thirteen。2011年，他成立了乐队 Antonio Fusco Sextet- Suite for Motian，并与2014年在意大利的音乐唱片厂牌 Auditorium Parco Della Musica 旗下正式发行，同时受到了国内的一致好评。同样在2014年，他与两位来自英国的优秀爵士音乐家建立了三重奏乐队NS3：钢琴手 Bruno Heinen 和丹麦籍低音提琴手 Henrik Jensen。
他创作了 Esarmonia 发行的鼓手指南书籍 LA COORDINAZIONE (The Coordination), 并曾经接受过很多国内知名报纸媒体的采访，包括Musikateneo, Drums and Percussion, Senza Barcode (Web magazine) 和 JAZZIT, Jazz espresso. 在2014年，他被 Flavio Caprera 创作并由 Feltrinelli 发行的新版 "New Italian Jazz Dictionary" 提名。从2013年开始，他成为 CANOPUS drums 的代言人，并从2014年开始成为 Tiziano Dugnani 的意大利手工鼓棒品牌 Bacchette MR Drums 代言人。自2017年认北京现代研修学院爵士鼓及合奏课老师。
