First CBAC China Craft Beer Festival!

To Concerning Beer Fans:

The Craft Brewer’s Association of China is proud to announce the very first China Independent Craft Beer Festival, which will take place in Beijing at TRB Copper from November 16-18, 2018. Tickets will be available on October 19.

This is the first beer festival in China that features only independent Chinese craft brewers. No international craft breweries or distributors will be at this festival. The China Craft Brewer’s Association, founded in 2015, is a trade organization aimed at providing support and information for the burgeoning Chinese craft beer scene. In order for a Chinese craft brewery to qualify for the CBAC, they must meet the following requirements. The definition is set similar to the United States Brewer’s Association with some Chinese caveats:

1. Zero percent ownership by commercial beer.

2. 500,000hL yearly maximum production.

3. A professional brewer using Chinese water who produces beer in China.

4. Legal. Legally able to do business in good standing and be able to issue tax receipts for goods and services sold.

What makes this event even more special is the sheer amount of breweries that will be sending not only their beers but also their founders and brewmasters to Beijing to serve the beer. This is by far the largest conglomeration of Chinese craft breweries to ever happen under one roof, so it’s certainly not something to miss. Even more, this is only the list of currently confirmed breweries. We will be adding more breweries to the festival as we get closer to the date, so look for more announcements from the CBAC in the weeks upcoming! 

The festival will be a door ticketed event where guests can meet the brand creators and brewmasters. A 150ml branded glass will be provided for sampling free-flow beers, and TRB will be providing canapés for your enjoyment over the course of the weekend. Each session will be limited to 300 people, which will give guests plenty of time and space to sample beers from a large variety of Chinese craft breweries and get valuable insight from the visiting brewers about their different beers. Tickets are 150RMB per person and get you entrance to the event, free-flow drinks, canapés provided by TRB, and a limited-edition glass.

For ticket purchasing, there will be three major options. Single session tickets for 150rmb, Weekend passes (good for three total sessions, one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday) for 400rmb, and Deluxe/All Access Passes (entrance to all sessions) for 500rmb.
