2 People. 3 Days. 40 Beers.
A charged silence embraces the crowd gathered around the ring as the moment they’ve all been waiting for creeps forward with tantalizing intensity. Everything comes down to this moment – the belt, the title, the glory.
The air is electric.
Every light in the room goes dark, all but one, illuminating a figure standing confidently in the center of the ring. A microphone is lowered from the rafters to be suspended perfectly before his face. It’s switched on with a static pop and a brief hum of feedback.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the second Great Leap Brewing Tag Team Championship!”
The crowd explodes in raucous applause, eager spectators climbing over one another to get a better view.
“The rules are simple: Teams of two race to drink 40 beers over the course of three days. Starting from 6:00pm on Friday, November 22nd these dynamic duos, terrors of the taps, masters of malty beverage have 51 hours to complete the challenge.”
“All who finish will go home with proof of their greatness, but only one team will be granted the title of Great Leap Brewing Tag Team Champions!”
Great Leap Brewing is holding the second Tag Team Championship, starting next Friday, November 22nd at GLB #12. Registration is 500rmb per person, and teams must include two brave souls. Your registration includes 20 beers of your choosing, and a Great Leap Brewing Tag Team t-shirt if you are able to finish all 20 beers before we close on Sunday, November 24th.
The fastest team to complete the challenge will be named the Tag Team Champions, earning them the following: 25rmb for all beers at all GLB locations for the following month, and the right to wear the Tag Team Champions belts any time they are in GLB #12. These benefits start from the Monday following their victory, and run through till the end of the next tag team championship on December 20th through 22nd.
For spectators, all beers will go on special for one hour when the first team hits their half way mark. So be ready to hop on some deals when the time comes.
