When Colonel Harland Sanders founded Kentucky Fried Chicken in 1930, he could have never imagined that his restaurants in China would one day be selling greasy, meat-filled zongzi (a traditional Chinese snack made of glutinous rice).
We can't know for certain whether he would have agreed with the practice or not, but one thing's for sure - natives of northern China are certainly not fans.
One man's meat is another man's poison, as they say, and sometimes, regional delicacies can drive outsiders crazy.
When eating spicy hotpot in Chongqing or Sichuan, people from East China might find that it's not just their mouths, but entire bodies, that go numb.
If studying abroad, almost all Chinese minor in their own subject but major in cooking - finding it hard to adapt to a Western diet of hamburgers, pizzas and french fries.
It works the same way for foreigners, too. Some of the more squeamish Americans out there might find the infamous French dish andouilette, made from a pig's insides, too disgusting to eat - and that's saying nothing of tete de veau, or boiled cow's head.
