The new school semester begins today.

As many students are now preparing for their start-of-semester examinations and the coming of four months' busy coursework, we also provide five problems for those who have already graduated and thus no longer have the chance to experience that exciting moment.

They are selected from the free full curriculum that Tes — a school resource body — produces for years 1-6 of primary school, which blend Asian-style maths teaching techniques into British lesson plans. It is believed that they can make children sharper.
