US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday afternoon, kicking off a three-day state visit to China.

The visit will provide opportunities for President Xi Jinping and Trump to exchange in-depth views on issues that concern both sides and is expected to yield positive results for bilateral ties.

Before heading to China, Trump tweeted: "Looking very much forward to meeting and being with President Xi!"
