China Daily Logo Contest
China Daily is China's leading English-language newspaper. Since its first issue in 1981, it has developed into a major globalized and multi-media organization.
China Daily is an important bridge connecting China to the world and giving the world a greater insight into China.
To encapsulate China Daily's national and international image, we are running a worldwide competition for a logo that represents its broad appeal.
Submissions should embody the "bridge" image which shows how China Daily connects China to the world.
A vivid image, meaningful content, visual clarity, and easy public recognition are essential.
Submissions should be original and in compliance with relevant provisions concerning trademarks and legal requirements. Candidates should ensure that no third party can claim rights.
Candidates should provide a colorized work with a color code description attached, a literary design scheme, and complete vector source files or JPG files (with clarity no less than 300 dpi and graphic size no less than 300 mm×300 mm).
Candidates should also attach their personal or group profiles, including their names, ID numbers, detailed mail addresses, phone numbers and any other relevant information.
Works will be deemed invalid if they fail to meet the above requirements.
Selected works will be displayed on China Daily's official network platforms, including its website and China Daily's public official online accounts. The votes attributed to each work will be considered in the judging process.
China Daily will call a panel to evaluate all submitted works.
After the evaluation by the panel, the works that have made it through will be evaluated by the Editorial Board which will select the winner.
The winner will receive a prize of 5,000 RMB (pre-tax). In addition, three runners-up will each get a 1,000 RMB (pre-tax) prize.
Once payment is received copyright, ownership, right of modification, and right of use will belong solely to China Daily. The two parties will sign a formal copyright transfer agreement. The artist can not use the work on any other occasion and is not able to transfer it to any other institution or individual.
All works submitted must not infringe upon intellectual property rights. If infringement is proven, the work will be disqualified, and the full amount of remuneration must be paid back. The candidates shall have legal liability for possible consequences.
Submissions will not be returned.
All participants are deemed to agree with the above.
