You have probably encountered this all-too-familiar situation.

Imagine you majored in English, and you're watching TV with your parents. Suddenly, a person on television starts to speak English. Then, your dear mom says, "Come on, darling, translate that for us." That could make you quite reluctant, since not every English major can do translation work.

Or maybe you work in the IT industry. Every time you tell your relatives or friends about it, they ask, "Could you repair my computer? It's out of order..." Then you would spend lots of time and effort explaining information technology is not the same as computer repair.

And that's still not enough. There are more...

There are so many frustrating misunderstandings toward majors and industries. You might have explained to your friends and relatives hundreds or thousands of times, but they still misunderstand.

Sometimes, you might even want to hold up a banner and shout to the world "Those are misunderstandings!" Well, in this week's Chitchat, you have a platform.
