With news such as the Olympic Games, floods and epidemics trending these days, people almost have forgotten the fact that three Chinese astronauts are still out there in space. The Shenzhou-12 crew went to space on June 17 and is now half way through their three-month mission.
On Aug 2, Tiangong Television, a new media channel of the China Manned Space, released a vlog recording a regular blood sampling process of the astronauts on its official website and social media account. The three need to conduct routine health assessments on their own by helping each other with the operation.
The daily life of the crew was filmed through the cabin's cameras and made into a series of vlogs. Until publishing time, nine episodes have been released. In the previous two vlogs, the three astronauts demonstrated how to carry out exercises in space. Another video also recorded a lively scene when the astronauts drank tea and smile at each other while fixing a system. "We have someone on top," said a netizen. Some wondered whether they can follow the Olympic Games from space, to which China aerospace's official social media account answered "they can watch live broadcasts on our space station". The astronaut crew is able to cheer for team China from space. 编辑:焦洁Click here for audio and translation of the story
