健康城市 始于公交

Healthy Cities Start with Public Transit

9月18日至24日是全国公交出行宣传周。世界卫生组织驻华代表处，与交通运输部、公安部、全国总工会联合发布公交出行宣传片，鼓励大众公交出行，选择绿色健康的生活方式。

The World Health Organization is jointly launching a video with the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Public Security, and All-China Federation of Trade Union, for the Public Transportation Promotion Week of China 18-24 September . The video aims to encourage people to take a healthier lifestyle by choosing public transportation over private cars. 

世卫组织驻华代表施贺德为此次公交出行宣传周撰写了署名文章。

Below is the opinion piece by Dr Bernhard Schwartländer, WHO Representative in China, for the Public Transportation Promotion Week. 

他指出，公交出行宣传周期间，全国各地开展的蓬勃活动把我们的视线拉回到一个不可逾越的问题：如何在构建城市空间时，把规划对健康的影响考虑在内。

He says that the promotional week and its many public transit activities across the country brings our attention to important questions that must be asked – and answered – about how we are constructing our urban spaces and the costs to human health.

要通过交通政策，鼓励健康、绿色、人性化的出行方式。这包括加大对公交网络的投入；进一步合理配置道路资源，让人们在享受共享单车带来的便捷时，人行步道依然有路可走。

We need transit policies that actively incentivize healthy, green, and people-centered transit. That includes investing more in public transport networks and rationalizing the allocation of space such that the overwhelmingly positive response in favor of shared bikes doesn’t crowd out pedestrians on the sidewalks.  

可以通过政策增加开车的成本——提高停车费，对非法停车施以严惩，还可考虑拥堵费。

It also means making it tougher to choose to drive and park – governments need to charge people much more for parking, consider congestion charges and get tough on those who park illegally.

最关键是要把人作为城市规划的核心考虑。中国的城市正在以空前的速度增长。

What is most important of all is to put people at the heart of city planning. Cities are growing at an unprecedented pace in China. 

一个优质的现代城市不仅仅给人提供工作和学习的机会，还给他们宜居的生活。一个优质的现代城市应该是人们保持身心健康、享受愉悦生活的家园。

Let’s remember that a good modern city is not just a place for people to work and study, but is also their habitat – a place in which they ought to be able to enjoy a healthy life, physically and mentally.

中国发展迅猛。得益于此，在中国发展发过程中，可以规避其他国家走过的弯路。中国在过去35年中取得的长足进步，让我们有自信对此保持乐观。在保护环境、优化城市生活的过程中有公共交通同行，将是中国和中国人民为之自豪的又一件幸事。

As citizens of a fast-developing country, the Chinese have been fortunate to be able to learn from the mistakes of others. The country’s tremendous achievements in so many different fields, particularly over the past 35 years or so, give cause for this optimism.  

在保护环境、优化城市生活的过程中有公共交通同行，将是中国和中国人民为之自豪的又一件幸事。

By harnessing public transport as an ally in protecting the environment and in improving urban lives, the country and its people will have yet one more thing to be proud of.

What suggestion did ABB executive give to Chongqing?

ABB集团电网事业部总裁方秦9月24日出席重庆市市长国际经济顾问团会议第12届年会，就数字技术如何帮助重庆自由贸易试验区（简称“自贸试验区”）建设实现适合自身的发展进行经验分享。这也是ABB连续第12次参加此年会。

Digital technologies will support the innovative development of Chongqing’s newly established Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ). Head of ABB’s Power Grids division Claudio Facchin made the remarks and shared ABB’s global experience at the Twelfth Annual Meeting of Chongqing Mayor’s International Economic Advisory Council (CMIA). 

在题为《重庆自贸试验区的差异化发展之路》的报告中，方秦指出， 2017年4月1日正式运营的中国（重庆）自贸试验区将很大程度上提升重庆的经济影响力和发展潜力，并将帮助重庆进一步开发和提升自身作为“一带一路”和“长江经济带”重要内陆节点及渝新欧国际铁路起点的区位优势和创新空间。

In a report titled Differentiated Development of the Chongqing Pilot FTZ in an Era of Exploration, Openness and Innovation, Facchin said the new Pilot FTZ, which was launched on April 1, 2017, provides a good opportunity for Chongqing to enhance its economic status,  to strengthen its geographical significance and to dig out its innovative potential as a key city along the Belt & Road and in the Yangtze River Economic Zone.  

方秦表示，重庆自贸试验区应充分利用技术领先企业已有的研究成果、经验及解决方案，创造开放、稳定、安全、互联互通的生态系统，在“探索、开放、创新的时代”中实现差异化发展。

“The Chongqing Pilot FTZ should capitalize on the learning, experiences, and solutions already made available by leading technology providers. To create and open, reliable and secure interconnected environment will be the basis for Chongqing’s advancement and development in this era of exploration, openness and innovation. However, to differentiate itself from other FTZs in China, Chongqing needs to make efforts to upgrade its existing utility and industrial facilities by leveraging the power brought by digital technologies.

Costa Cruises with Juventus to bring Italian football onboard  in China

嘉年华集团旗下意式文化品牌歌诗达邮轮日前宣布，与意大利足球俱乐部尤文图斯达成里程牌式合作。

Costa Cruises, the Italian cultural brand of Carnival Corporation & plc, recently announced a landmark partnership with the leading Italian football club Juventus. 

作为尤文图斯亚洲官方指定邮轮，歌诗达亚洲及中国舰队将为游客带来360°原汁原味的意式足球体验。此次合作也促成足球体验首次登陆中国邮轮市场。

As Juventus’ Official Cruise in Asia, Costa Cruises will offer an authentic, 360o Juventus experience onboard its Costa Asia Fleet, the first Partnership of its kind in Asia and China that sees football making its way onboard cruise ships.

PGA TOUR and Intel launch exclusive collaboration

美国职业高尔夫球（PGA）巡回赛与英特尔宣布进行独家合作，在2017年和2018年的六场PGA巡回赛上制作并向全球播放虚拟现实（VR）直播和360度视频直播。

The PGA TOUR and Intel announced an exclusive relationship to produce and globally distribute live virtual reality (VR) and live 360 video at six PGA TOUR events in 2017 and 2018.

英特尔将通过英特尔True VR技术打造虚拟现实直播体验，让观众以前所未有的角度深入球场——这是亲临现场的球迷们也无法体验到的。

Intel will produce the live VR experience with Intel® True VR technology, providing unprecedented access to areas on the course that can’t be experienced – even by fans on-site. 

PGA巡回赛首席媒体官Rick Anderson表示：“从巡回赛的角度来看，我们采用VR的目标就是创建一个完全不同于现场观看或者传统媒体平台的全新体验。与英特尔的独家合作关系将进一步深化我们的使命，创造一个完全属于球迷的精彩体验。”

“From the TOUR’s perspective, our goal with VR is to create an experience that is completely different than what you can get as a fan at our events or by viewers of our traditional media platforms. The exclusive partnership with Intel furthers our mission of creating a total fan experience，” said PGA TOUR Chief Media Officer Rick Anderson.
