Roche Will Showcase Its Cutting-Edge Technology in Early Research at CIIE
罗氏集团全球首席执行官施万出席近日第30届上海市市长国际企业家咨询会议，发表“构建具有国际影响力的亚洲医学中心城市，树立上海全面深化改革开放的品牌标杆”的主旨演讲。
Severin Schwan, CEO of the Roche Group, attended the 30th annual conference of International Business Leaders’ Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai, and delivered a keynote speech entitled “Establishing Shanghai’s Status as an Asian Medical Hub to Drive the Evolution of the Shanghai Brand in the New Era.”
施万提出上海应发挥自身优势，对标国际先进城市，支持亚洲医学中心城市建设。
Dr. Schwan suggested that Shanghai should leverage its advantages and adopt the highest international standards as a baseline as it becomes an Asian medical hub.

据了解，在华发展24年间，罗氏在研发和创新投入巨大。2015年，罗氏总部追加8.63亿元人民币的投资，建设位于张江的罗氏创新中心。该中心预计于2019年竣工。
Throughout the past 24 years, Roche has made massive investments in R&D and innovation inChina. In 2015, Roche invested RMB 863 million toward the development of a new world-class innovation centre in Zhangjiang. Construction on the centre is expected to be completed in 2019.

Sears Holdings Filing for Bankruptcy Application
据《华尔街日报》报道，西尔斯控股已经聘请顾问，可能按照美国破产法第11章递交破产申请。
The Wall Street Journal report saying Sears Holdings has hired advisers ahead of a potential Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing this week.
上周，西尔斯有高达1.34亿美元债务到期。公司一度股价跌至0.44美元，仅仅12年前股价还曾触及145美元高点。
Sears, which has $134 million in debt coming due last week, saw shares plummet to $0.44; shares were at $145 at the company's peak only 12 years ago.
据报道，西尔斯未对破产保护申请的可能性置评。但上周该公司董事会的确增加了一名拥有企业重组经验的董事。
The company did not respond to a request for comment on the prospect of a bankruptcy protection filing, but last week the company did add a board member with corporate restructuring experience.
尽管十年里关闭了几百家门店，西尔斯和Kmart仍然每况愈下，近年来同店销售持续下滑。2015年，公司年营业收入还有540亿美元，而到了2018年，华尔街预计其年收入仅有124亿美元。
Despite closing hundreds of stores this decade, Sears and Kmart both continued to deteriorate, with same-store declines worsening in the last few years. In 2015, Sears Holdings had annual revenue of $54 billion. For 2018, Wall Street expects it to come in at $12.4 billion.
