About Instructors
Huang Jianyi 黄健怡
（爵士钢琴）
一九九七年毕业于上海音乐学院钢琴系本科，之后留校在管弦系担任艺术指导老师、钢琴伴奏老师，1999年创建FootPrint爵士乐队，活跃于上海各大爵士乐场所，并应邀参与《Jazz Monk》电视节目录制。曾与世界著名长号手Nils Landgren同台演出。二零零三年到二零零五年就读于著名的爵士学校美国波士顿BERKLEE音乐学院，师从前爵士钢琴系主任Paul Schmeling, Ray Santisi, Laszlo Gardony, Joanne Brackeen, Joe Lovano, Jackson Schultz等，二零零五年考入了美国新泽西RUTGERS大学MASON GROSS艺术学院的爵士乐演奏研究生班，攻读硕士学位，师从传奇爵士钢琴家Stanley Cowell教授，以及Victor Lewis, Ralph bowen,Conrad Herwig。
Huang Jianyi has been a music educator and Art Director at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he also received Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance. He founded the Footprints Jazz Band in 1999, one of the first modern Chinese jazz groups in Shanghai. He has studied jazz piano at the Berklee College of Music with such greats as Paul Schmeling, Ray Santisi, Joanne Brackeen, Laszlo Gardony and Joe Lovano. Currently, he is completing his Master’s degree in Jazz Performance at Rutgers University, where he is studying with Stanley Cowell,
Alec Haavik
（爵士萨克斯）
Alec 于曼哈顿音乐学院读硕士期间，同著名音乐家Dick Oatts和Mark Turner为同期校友；并且，Alec师从著名的音乐家Ralph Bowen,Dave Tofani和George Garzone。Alec曾在世界各地各种爵士音乐节上演奏表演，包括北京的九门国际音乐节和上海的JZ爵士音乐节。他是著名音乐乐队Mercedes Benz, Jaguar,Cartier, and Ballantine's 的特定演奏成员。
During his Master's Program at the Manhattan School of Music, Alec studied with Dick Oatts and Mark Turner. More recently, Alec has studied with renowned artists Ralph Bowen, Dave Tofani and George Garzone.From intergalactic to international, Alec has performed in jazz festivals across China including many appearances at the Nine Gates Festival in Beijing and the JZ Festival in Shanghai. He has been a featured performer for lifestyle brands such as Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Cartier, and Ballantine's.
Charles Foldesh
（爵士鼓）
Charles Foldesh， 国际知名打击乐演奏家、音乐教育学者，毕业于全美顶尖的欧柏林学院（Oberlin College & Conservatory），师从爵士乐传奇人物比利·哈特（Billy Hart），著名的约翰·克特兰（John Coltane）爵士教育奖获得者。由查尔斯主持的音乐讲座、研讨会和实习课在亚洲各地深受广大专家和参与者的喜爱。他身兼数个乐队创始人，沉浸于音乐创作与革新实验，是北美、欧洲、南美、亚洲各大重要音乐节的座上宾，非凡的演奏实力使他深受业内外观众的追捧。
A highly accomplished musician, Charles Foldesh is a very active and passionate music educator. He is a graduate of the renowned Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he received a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies and Performance and was a recipient of the prestigious John Coltrane Scholarship. While at the Conservatory, Charles enjoyed the opportunity to study under the instruction of jazz legend, Billy Hart.Charles has performed and toured worldwide, appearing at festivals throughout the United States, Europe, South America and Asia.Charles is the author of "Exercises and Phrases for the Melodic Jazz Drummer," which is set to be published by Mel Bay and Shanghai Music Publishing House in summer 2015.
Jonas Seetoh 司徒嘉伟
（爵士人声）
司徒嘉伟，国内知名爵士歌手，唱作人，音乐制作人，教育家。他演唱的单曲《小烦孤单》曾在国内广为传唱。2013年司徒嘉伟以全校第二名的成绩毕业于英国威尔士皇家音乐学院（Royal Welsh College of Music），并拿到硕士学位。这其间他还得到了入学奖学金和全校唯一的校长荣誉毕业嘉奖。
司徒嘉伟是国内热门的综合型声乐老师，擅长指导爵士Jazz，R&B，Soul，Funk，Gospel，Pop等音乐类型。他把世界先进的SLS(Speech Level Singing)发声技巧和富有音乐性（Musicial）的教学结合在一起，深得学生们喜爱。近年来司徒嘉伟在教学方面硕果累累，不仅培养出多位职业歌手，还帮助许多学生考进国外一线音乐院校。
Jonas Seetoh, a leading jazz singer, songwriter, producer and educator in China. His single “a little bit annoying” is very popular and widely sung all over the country. In 2013 he graduated as school second with master degree from Royal Welsh College of Music. In the meantime he also got the entrance scholarship and the only honor award of the college.
Jonas is recognized as a comprehensive vocalist, good at all kinds of music style, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk, Gospel, Pop, etc. He integrated the world's advanced SLS (Speech Level Singing) vocal skills with musical teaching, and the students loved it. Jonas has made innumerable achievements in teaching in recent years. He’s not only helped many students to get into first-class music collage and also has developed numbers of professional singers.
