【外刊打卡】地道输入高效输出，从每天一篇外刊精读开始

打卡理念

语言学习是一个长期的过程，需要日积月累的输入、内化，才能转化为准确的输出。将阅读养成一种习惯，具有针对性地精读一篇小短文，能够了解全球时事，也能掌握相关表达，对于口语、写作、翻译的输出都大有裨益。

为了养成每日积累的习惯，持续输入，克服拖延症，甲申同文特推出#外刊精读打卡#，每天一份外刊精读，选取纽约时报、卫报、华尔街日报、金融时报、经济学人等最新文章，掌握地道英语表达，培养英语学习思维方式。

特色&选材

外刊的好，大家都知道。但是从筛选合适的外刊文章，到查阅令人目不暇接的生词，从啃下令人头疼的长篇幅，到踏踏实实日复一日坚持下去，每一步都能劝退不少人，让很多学生“有心提高，无力实现”。

针对这些问题，甲申在外刊精读打卡项目中特别增添短篇栏目，缩减篇幅，高度提纯。短篇长篇双管齐下，一方面降低坚持的阈值，另一方面保证输入的高质量，帮助大家实现“道理我都懂，我也能做到”。

将从各大知名外刊短篇新闻，短篇篇幅200-400词内，阅读时间3分钟左右；长篇1000词上下，分两天完成，泛读精读一起练。

练习方法

1. 对讲解进行内化吸收，选择自己喜欢的方式整理笔记，可采用手写、电子笔记等形式，进行拍照、截图上传打卡；

2. 可以先跳过解析速读一遍全文，掌握文章大意，尝试复述重点信息；

3. 遇到生词可联系上下文猜测词义，再对照解析；

4. 再次通读全文，可尝试画出思维导图，体会英文写作结构。

延伸：PPP Purchasing Power Parity 购买力平价指数，这是根据各国不同的价格水平计算出来的货币之间的等值系数。目的是对各国的国内生产总值进行合理比较。

*此处appetite可谓是让人眼前一亮，既表达出了对产品的“需求”，又和meat and agricultural goods无缝衔接，栩栩如生营造出“一张大口”的意象。

*一提到“在……领域”，很多人会条件反射想到field，area，不妨多用一用本文中的front。当然，使用的时候切记要结合语境，灵活选用，不能生搬硬套。

v. to start a particular feeling in someone引发，激起。Ignite concerns, 引发担忧。
eg. His words ignited their anger. 他的话引发了他们的怒火。

[deteriorate]

v. to become worse 变坏；恶化；退化
eg. Her health deteriorated rapidly, and she died shortly afterwards. 她的健康状况急剧恶化，不久便去世了。

[insulate]

v. insulate sb/sth from/against sth to protect sb/sth from unpleasant experiences or influences 使免除（不愉快的经历）；使免受（不良影响）

类似表达: stay immune to 原意是对……免疫，也可以表达免受某物影响。
You'll eventually become immune to criticism. 你终究会变得不在乎批评了

eg. The reporters were asking a lot of tough questions. 记者们问了很多难以回答的问题。

adj. 很少，不多; 几乎没有

one of the few + n. 除了表达出“……之一”之意，还表示few所修饰的名词数量不多。

eg. The cathedral was oneof the few buildings not destroyed in the war. 这座大教堂是战时少数没有遭毁坏的建筑物之一。
