On April 26, a Xi'an-bound Okay Airlines Boeing 737-300 veered from the runway while taking off in Guangzhou.

The cargo plane was accelerating its engines for take off when it veered to the left side of the runway and onto taxiway F2 – roughly 200 meters down the runway. When the aircraft came to a stop, the nose gear and right main gear were resting on the soft, grassy soil to the side of the runway.

The incident shut the runway down for roughly six hours, until the plane was removed from the area, according to The Aviation Herald.

Witnesses have stated that it appeared the aircraft’s engines were not accelerating evenly, with the left engine running at a lower power than its counterpart on the right side of the plane.
