Where to Watch the Euro Cup 2016
As a Dutch national I'm feeling incredibly friggin' sad about this upcoming Euro Cup 2016, so it's going to be my first time supporting a team that doesn't wear orange (suggestions for who to support are welcome in the comments!). However, from past experience, regardless of my personal patriotic qualms, the Euro Cup is a pretty great time to be in Beijing, with people waking up at all times of the day, running around to catch the match before work. Here's where to catch the tournament, which runs June 10 to July 11:
June 11: Beijing Marriot Hotel Northeast
Head to the Beijing Marriot Hotel Northeast for the Euro Cup 2016 launch party with a three vs. three football tournament, a pub quiz, a FIFA Playstation tournament, free-flow drinks (beer, wine, and sangria), an open buffet, and a DJ to kick off the tournament. Bring your friends build your team and win amazing prices offered by Marriott, Heineken and many more. Enjoy an afternoon full of fun, booze and football. Get your tickets now through InternsInBeijing.com. RMB 250 (in advance), RMB 300 at the door.

Plenty of bars will also be running promotions, for example Beer Mania will give you a free Estaminet Premium Pils at halftime if you wear the jersey of one of the two teams, and if you guess the score before the game you'll also get a free Estaminet Premium Pils at the end of the game. Each and every time Belgium wins a match, they will also open a keg of Estaminet for free open bar! Q Mex is also making a lot of effort, putting out a special late-night menu for both drinks and food for late game days.
For official match fixtures, check out the Euro Cup 2016 website, but don't forget to calculate the time difference (China is six hours ahead of France). If your establishment is also showing the games send me an email to get added to this article.
