UK Trap Pioneer Ozzie at Yugong Yishan
UK Trap pioneer Ozzie is only 22 years old, but is considered a pioneer of trap music and has toured around the world. He’s known for his innovative sampling and use of negative elements to amplify his bone-rattling bass. The artist is also one of the UK’s top trap producers. Peverelist and Kowton form the backbone of Livity Sound, one of the most forward-thinking labels coming out of the UK in the last few years. The label (which takes its name from a Rastafarian word meaning, roughly, “life-force”) pushes forth a form of dance music that builds on a long tradition of pioneering dub music in Bristol, while establishing itself as one of the finest examples of bass music's recent embracement of house and techno.
