Over 5,000 Brave Temperatures to Attend Day 1 of the Burger Cup

As the sun set on the first day of the 2017 Burger Cup, more than 5,000 Beijingers went home with bellies full of burgers, beer, and other delicious treats.

Despite the steamy temperatures, you turned out in droves to sample some of Beijing's finest burgers, packing out Galaxy Soho. You fully embraced the Wild West theme too, with many sporting cowboy-style apparel and with long queues forming for a go on the mechanical bull.

If you didn't manage to make it yesterday, don't worry: there's another whole day of burger action taking place today from 11am-8pm.

Come check it out to give your taste buds a ride before casting your ballot in our annual survey to choose the city's best burger, with polls opening on Sunday night at 8pm.

There are plenty more activities (including bands, DJs, and a performance by Moonglow Burlesque) coming up on Sunday as well as food, beer, and a bunch of other goodies, so come on out.

Unfamiliar with Galaxy Soho? It's just a short walk southeast of Chaoyangmen subway station, at the intersection of Lines 2 and 6 (the most convenient exit to take is exit G).
