Catch Jaden Smith at PH Global Tomorrow, Oct 20

This Saturday (tomorrow), Oct 20, catch American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor Jaden Smith at Beijing's only street culture space, PH Global, located in the heart of Gongti.

Even if you’re not that familiar with Jaden Smith, you’ll certainly be familiar with his father: Will Smith. Jaden’s first acting role was alongside Will in the critically acclaimed The Pursuit of Happiness in 2006, after which he went on to star in the 2010 remake of The Karate Kid and 2013's After Earth (also with his father).

However, Jaden was not content to share the spotlight with his father and since his start in the movies, he has gone on to chart a new course in the music biz. In 2010, Jaden rapped on the song "Never Say Never" with Justin Bieber, which was used as the theme song for The Karate Kid. His debut studio album, Syre, was released in November 2017, alongside the lead single "Icon", which reached number three on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 singles chart.

In a 2017 interview with Highsnobiety, Jaden cited his father as an inspiration for his career, alongside fellow rappers such as Kid Cudi and Tycho. "He started in music and transitioned to movies. I started with movies, and then I transitioned into making music – I look at him and use it as a blueprint of how good of a person he is, but not necessarily the success that he reached." 

As China's first street culture space, PH Global is excited to welcome Jaden Smith, who will be performing some of his best-known hits. Jaden has already tweeted that he is on his way to Beijing, so fans, get ready!
