EAT: Your bite-sized guide to the best eats to be had in Beijing this week.

Migas Mercado Launches Warming Winter Menu

Chef Miguel Casal has updated the Migas Mercado menu with 15 new dishes designed to fight off the cold weather, including starters, main courses, paella, and desserts. The menu includes plenty of warming dishes, such as chicken and black truffle meatballs with pâté, cheese, and creamy mushroom soup (pictured at top), as well as new takes on classic Migas dishes, such as the Serranito 2.0, featuring grilled Spanish Iberico pork with pepper purée, aioli, tomato bread, and ham flakes.

Vegan Outreach Dinner at Tiger Pancake House

Vegan eating is growing in popularity in Beijing as evidenced by the regular (and often sold out) vegan dinners put on by Vegans of Beijing. Their latest dinner is at Tiger Pancake House, an American-style eatery in Shuangjing that specializes in, you guessed it, pancakes. The three-course dinner is priced at RMB 158 per person (including a non-alcoholic drink); scan the QR code on the poster above to purchase tickets.

Pinoy Pop Up Brunch at Little Creatures

This Saturday and Sunday, Nov 17-18, chow down on delicious Filipino food at the Pinoy Brunch pop up at Little Creatures. There will be two different menus, both featuring Filipino classics like snapper ceviche and chicken and pork adobo with fried rice and a sunny-side up egg. The price of your ticket includes a Little Creatures beer, and there will be happy hour prices on beers and wines by the glass. For more information or to reserve, call 135 5292 5825 or scan the QR code on the poster above.

10 Years of Agua Restaurant

Long-running Nali Patio Spanish restaurant Agua is celebrating 10 years in business with a menu of 10 old favorites at the same price they were when they were introduced over the past 10 years. So, that means you can order a suckling pig for two to three people at the 2008 price of RMB 398 or a portion of garlic and chili prawn tapas at the 2014 price of RMB 58. Full menu details in the QR code above. Offer runs until Nov 18.

Queenie's Sandwiches Closes, Looking for New Location
Fans of boozy late night snacking will be sad to hear that both locations of Queenie's Sandwiches (in Chaoyangmen Waidajie and Yonghegong, opposite Café de la Poste) have closed. It's not all bad news, however; the owner tells us construction is almost finished on a new location (more information on that when we have it).
