Beijing Beats brings you the best in Beijing nightlife each weekend so that you can soothe the woes of a long and stressful week with some out-of-body gyrating and some experiences you'd rather forget come Monday. Check the weekend's full list of nightlife events here: thebeijinger.com/events.

Friday, Apr 5

P.E.A.R.L.

This Santander DJ has lived in several of Europe's biggest club cities, honing his love for electronic music and finding inspiration largely in '90s UK techno. P.E.A.R.L. has also released works on essential techno labels such as Warm Up, 47, PoleGroup, and Mord, landing in Beijing to give us a dose of his signature heavy techno with deft ambient flourishes.

Price TBA. 10pm. Lantern

MFE Final

Support your favorite local DJ at the showdown of Aurora's Music Family Evolution this Friday. Four DJs will go head-to-head for the chance to win themselves a bunch of prizes as well as a two-hour set warming up for Roberto Traista when he plays the club on May 2. You never know, you may just launch the career of Beijing's hottest new DJ. If you want to ease into the night you can also head over early for a slap-up meal (scan/extract QR code above for more details).

RMB 50. 10pm. Aurora

Rave Night: DJs Cortez & Amon ft. VJ Katalist

Rave night returns to Soi Baochao with DJs Gurak, Cortez, and Amon heading the decks for a night of industrial and ambient sounds. To keep your eyeballs lubed and loose, Katalist will be blasting visuals alongside.

Free. 10pm. Soi Baochao

Tygapaw

Jamaica-born, New York-based DJ Tygapaw is building a strong following for her queer-friendly parties, unique production style, and crowd-shaking DJing. Expect smooth '90s R&B to mingle with everything from grime to grunge for a style that she dubs "Sultry Club." If you aren't able to catch her at Zhao Dai on Saturday, she'll also be doing a workshop and showcase with a host of DJs come Sunday at Aurora.

Price TBA. 10pm. Zhao Dai

Organic Presents Luv*Jam, Chris Cruse, Liad Krispin

Finally, Organic returns to Dada on Saturday with not just one guest DJ but three! On the decks this time around is the UK's LUV*JAM, a staple in Ibiza and Barcelona for many years as well as a stalwart at Bestival, one of the UK's leading festivals; LA-based Chris Cruse, "whose sound is equally influenced by dark warehouses and West Coast sunshine;" and Liad Krispin, a resident DJ at Berlin's Cocktail d'Amore in Berlin. Expect this one to go long and late.

Price TBA. 10pm doors. Dada
