Due to certain circumstances, flights to Hong Kong have remained cheap, even while ticket prices for almost every other destination have skyrocketed for dates between Oct 1-10. A source told the Beijinger that some flights are currently less than 10 percent full.
That's good news for you procrastinators because it means round-trip tickets to Hong Kong are available now from less than RMB 1,400 from airlines like Cathay Pacific and China Southern.
No matter your interests, there is something for everyone in the Fragrant Port. If you've never been to Hong Kong before, you might want to check out the excellent hiking trails, grab a souvenir at the Temple Street Night Market, and party hard at Lan Kwai Fong or another of the city's renowned nightlife scenes. Vegetarians may be also interested in the Veg Fest on Oct 6, or cultured among us will surely want to catch the Asia Contemporary Art Show on Oct 5. And of course, what Beijinger doesn't love a good beer? Hong Kong's brewers come together for Beertopia (beertopiahk.com) from Oct 5-6.
