Thirsty? Wet your whistle with Booze News, our wrap-up of the week's best bar deals, parties, drink concoctions, industry gossip, and more.

Wuhan No. 18 tap takeover at Jing-A

This Friday, Jing-A Xingfucun provides refuge to Wuhan's No.18 Brewery, who have been forced to close for the past 70 days on account of the coronavirus. They haven't, however, been sitting idle and last week, as Jing-A explains, "Made waves across the Chinese web with the release of their ‘Wuhan, Stay Strong’ lager, which featured a special peel-off label that documented Wuhan’s journey over the last 90 days. It was the kind of project only they could pull off: simple, sweet, real, resonant. Unsurprisingly, it was an online sensation." Head over to Xingfucun from 5pm onwards to show your support by sampling five of their beers on tap, including their most famous: Tiao Dong Who IPA (pictured above).

Sangria night at Chez Soi

Following a successful opening weekend last week, Chez Soi continues to tempt Beijing Francophiles, this time with a sangria party on Friday night, 6pm-2am. Sangria costs just RMB 25 a glass and all guests will get a shot of apple brandy at the door.
Beersmith three year anniversary

Over at CBD brewery Beersmith, they're celebrating three years in the biz with a week's worth of craft beer deals. Simply grab a craft beer passport, get drinking through their goods, and be regaled with free food, additional drinks, and merch. If you want to know exactly what goes into making their beer you can also sign up for one of three masterclasses hosted by their head brewer, Wilson Hede.
