Tube Station Gongti closes for renovations ahead of 2023 AFC Asian Cup

Tube Station’s Gongti branch has closed amidst renovations in the area ahead of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. According to a post on their WeChat, the current location will actually become an entrance to the new Gongti subway station (the irony), with Tube Station moving into a brand new location in a few years' time. Likewise, you can expect these renovations to affect other venues in the Gongti compound, though details on who will be affected or when have not been released. However, Sanlitun pizza fans won’t have to go too long without their Tube Station fix, as the chain is set to open a new location in the nearby Topwin Center around the end of August, which we hear will even have a terrace.
New Restaurant My Crib offers all-day brunch in Shunyi

If you’re the kind of person who believes that brunch is a lifestyle and not just a hybrid breakfast-lunch meal, then you’re going to love Shunyi's newest restaurant My Crib. My Crib is a self-styled all-day brunch restaurant with a menu that is heavy on eggs (poached eggs on rye toast with smashed avocado, RMB 68, for example), crepes, and pancakes, alongside creative smoothies and coffee drinks. We’re keen to try their take on yuenyeung coffee with tea, which features rooibos tea, Ethiopian coffee, candied melon, and milk. The restaurant is located on the first floor of EuroPlaza, near the Starbucks by the southeast gate. Look out for our full review soon.
