And then, there were four. Like a rare patty, this has been a bloody battle up to now, and with the number of remaining competitors in the battle for best burger in Beijing once again slashed in half, we move on from the Elite 8 to the Beijinger Burger Cup Final 4.

Bracket D three-seed Beersmith Gastropub knocked aside Home Plate BBQ in one of the most closely contested battles of the 2020 Burger Cup, booking their slot in the Final Four where they will face off with Bracket C champion Side Street, who outlasted Great Leap Brewing in another tight burger battle.

Meanwhile, in the top half of the bracket, both #1 seeds have made it to the Final Four, with Slow Boat outdistancing Jing-A and Q Mex overcoming a challenge from underhog 3 Little Pigs.

How we got here, and what's nextThough there can be only one champion, it’s no small feat to make it to the final four. Let’s take a look at the journeys of our competitors thus far.Slow Boat, touting its fry burger that took the gold last year, defeated QS, Hulu and Jing-A;Now, they're up against Q Mex’s classically named favorite, the Double Burger, who has single-handedly knocked out all the single burgers of Turkish Feast, newcomer Prodigy Brewpub and 3 Little Pigs.Side Street’s reinvented Cholo has so far played a successful solo against Migas Mercado, Plan B and Great Leap.

Next they will face off against Beersmith, who has wielded its cheese-smothered wagyu beef sliders to wipe out The Cheesecake Factory, Blue Frog and Home Plate.

But the struggle isn’t over yet. May the best burger win!
