Beijinger Survey UPDATE: 80% Of Foreigners Have Gotten First Vax

According to media reports in late April, more than 13 million Beijingers have received at least one vaccination shot, and upwards of 8 million of those are now fully vaccinated. Although the city's foreign population got a late start, our surveys indicate that they may now be ahead of that curve as more than 80 percent of foreign respondents report having received at least one shot.

Meanwhile, the number of foreigners who are now fully vaccinated has reached the halfway point. Those numbers will likely continue to grow throughout the month of May.
As the chart above indicates, we saw the biggest bump in foreigner vaccinations between Apr 7 and Apr 14, with new recipients slowing down after mid-month. Now, we very well may be reaching the point of plateau, as another of our surveys previously suggested that 14 percent of foreigners would opt to wait for a foreign vaccine, while another five percent do not plan on receiving any vaccine.READ: Still No Vax?
