Stock Up at PAGEONE’s Foreign Book Fair

It’s always a happy day for us bookworms at PAGEONE. Last September, their Sanlitun branch reopening had us finally breathing at ease — downtown bibliophiles rejoiced at the remodeled Taikooli location with their usual, vast collection of art volumes, foreign-language books and other tempting suggestions, including some fancy schmancy stationery and their own cozy café.
If you throw in their newly minted location in Andingmen, where hutong hipsters abound, it’s clear that PAGEONE’s reign in Beijing is alive and thriving. No small feat for this bookstore chain, originally founded in Singapore in 1983 (phew!).
Hey, and we’re not complaining here. We love books. We need books. We buy books. We crack them open, excitedly sniff that brand new book smell, lovingly flick through their pages… ahem. If —like me— you suffer from chronic, incurable tsundoku, aka if you keep buying more books than you will ever be able to read, then you’re probably trying to succumb to your vice without breaking your bank.
All decked out and waiting for you to explore.
Well, aren’t you a lucky duck! Run to PAGEONE to partake of their exciting Foreign Book Fair.
Sales extend to their entire English language catalog and adjust according to your VIP status: Readers’ Card (阅读卡) holders get 10 percent off, Golden Card (金卡) holders enjoy 15 percent off and for those who go grand or go home, their Diamond Card (钻石卡) shall save them 20 percent off.
Oh so many choices!
Likewise, according to PAGEONE WeChat’s account (pageone_beijing), you may pile on the savings by combining these promotions with your discount coupons (except for products labelled as special items). Book Fair sales will finish on Dec 5, perfect for some early Christmas shopping. For your child, for your significant one, for your neighbor, for your friend… and yes, for yourself, too.
One more dozen books won’t hurt, right? Right.
