[Apr 25, 12pm] COVID-19 Update: The Latest Numbers

On a daily basis, we will be updating you with information on the latest COVID-19 cases in Beijing and China as reported by the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau (wjw.beijing.gov.cn) and the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China (nhc.gov.cn).


As of March 14, 2022, we have made a couple of adjustments in the way we report data from outside of Beijing.

First of all, we are no longer using Tencent as our primary source, but instead are sourcing all data directly from the National Health Commission.

Secondly, we are now including only data from the Chinese mainland in our tallies (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). This is because domestic travel in the Chinese Mainland is generally still open to everyone, whereas travel to and from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan is generally more difficult.
