Capital Caff: Seesaw Turns 10, Coffee and Sando Sets
Don't talk to me until I've read Capital Caff: Your guide to the latest in coffee happenings around Beijing.
It’s been ten years since Seesaw first
opened its doors in Shanghai in 2012. The China-based brand first
opened up shop in the capital in 2018, and while it’s only been four
years since the Beijing opening, it’s good to give a bit of love to this import from down south.
They're offering goodies like special packs of espresso
To
mark the anniversary, Seesaw has dropped a few special treats, namely
500g bags of Zebra, their signature blend. In the coffee department, the
brand is also offering sets of instant espresso (in nifty little packs)
as well as sets filled with bean samples and drip coffee. They've also
got a bit of merch too, to espresso cups and thermoses to bags and the
like, all with the 10th anniversary theme.
If you're a fan of Seesaw, now's the time to act and grab these beans and deals while they last.

As if they heard us dissing on them the other day, Wagyukami recently debuted what it calls “breakfast coffee” and some new, more reasonably priced sandwich options for takeout and delivery.
While
you won’t be able to partake in the full blown katsu sando, they’ve got
options like Stewed Wagyu Beef, Miso Grilled Cheese, and even a
guabao-inspired sandwich. Sandwiches come on their own or with coffee
for a little more.
The coffee options available from Buona Bocca via Meituan
With
most shops still closed, there are a great many coffee shops offering
up delivery and takeout in most areas. Previously covered shops
including M Stand, Mini Mily, Catch Bagel and many others are also
available.
Personal recommendations include the Italian coffees
of (who just opened up shop on Meituan), and, a bit of an
oddball, the many SOE Americano varieties at a place called . All they do
is Americanos, but they are good Americanos.
Of course, should
you choose to brew your own coffee at home, there are many local options
available (find them via the link below).
