Jing-A’s Annual 8x8 Beer Festival to Return this November
Beer lovers rejoice! Jing-A’s 8x8 Tap Takeover will be back in the ‘Jing for its sixth year this November. This time round will see two days of tap takeovers from Nov 18-19, with 31 8x8 alumni breweries participating to create a total of 62 different beers to try.
Things will look a little different this year due to Covid regulations, with the beer takeover taking place at Jing-A’s CBD branch rather than a larger off-site location. However, despite this, you can still expect loads of fun activities, exciting collaborations and of course plenty of booze, so let’s have a look at just what they have in store…
The full beer list will be announced the week of the festival, but you can check out all 31 breweries taking part in the poster above. Each brewery will take over one tap and serve a different beer each day. There will also be a special “lager bar” this year where there will be cans and bottles of lager from the participating breweries available. On top of all that, Jing-A have partnered with aperitivo bar Nina, who will take over the back bar both nights to serve up some of their amazing signature cocktails.
Along with booze Jing-A will of course also be offering up some of their most popular foods namely burgers, chicken and fries. During Saturday daytime there will be a range of dip combinations available made by Chef Simone Thompson of Foodle, who will also be hosting a dessert pop-up both nights. To finish it all off from 11am-2pm Saturday, Avotaco will be serving up their Mexican-Chinese fusion food.
Finally for entertainment, tattoo studio Inks Salon will be on site for those who want to get inked and there will also be nail studio Nail It offering beer related manicures. For tickets this year there will be a token system in place and RMB 100 will gain you entry to the festival plus two drink tokens.
