Deadline Extended for 2023 Chili Eating Contest Sign Up
The time has nearly arrived for both our Hot & Spicy Fest and -- one of the biggest highlights of the three day event -- our annual Hot Chili Pepper Eating Contest!
We're looking for even more pepper heads to join the 12th edition of this marathon of heat, so we've extended the sign up deadline! Read on for details.
We’re looking for 24 people (eight per day) to partake in the contest, which will be taking place in the midst of Spicy Fest from Apr 14-16 at Fudi, and subject themselves to some spicy torment, consuming as many raw chili peppers to see if they can withstand the growing heat with each bite.

What's more, this year we're splitting the competition into three divisions: a Women's Division on Sunday from 3-4pm; Men's Division on Saturday from 3-4pm; and Mixed Doubles Division (teams of one man and one woman) on Friday at 7.30pm.
Each day’s winner will be able to take home fantastic prizes, as well as unfettered bragging rights for being able to chomp down the hottest of the hot and live to tell the tale!
If you think you have what it takes, then add TBJButler on WeChat (QR code above) and send your full name, date you’d like to attend, nationality*, phone number, and a short video (between 15 and 45 seconds long, see example below) of you eating something spicy by midnight, Thursday, Apr 13 to be considered for entry.
Rules for Entry:
One contestant per country (*with the exception of China, which can field one contestant per province/major municipality).
If there are more people interested than we have spots available, contestants will be chosen on the basis of their impressive videos.
