Round Eye, theexperimental freak punk outfit have accrued quite a loud and controversial namefor themselves since forming in 2012. The Shanghai based group have shown nomercy nor fatigue in sound development or work ethic and have as of late been acrucial force in bridging a wide gap between the eastern and westernhemispheres of punk rock. Along with blazing a gnarly trail all over the globe(China, USA, Mexico, S. Korea, Japan) they’ve toured the mainland of China anumber of times and have played host to visiting western groups and somelegends as well.
They’ve won the“Best Local Band” title from Shanghai’s City Weekend magazine two years in arow. They’ve released two music videos (one starring famed Chinese actress WangLin) and honed their unconventional blend of 50s R&B and Punk with acritically acclaimed EP “Full Circle” on Ripping/Genjing Records which featuredGreg Ginn (Black Flag) and have drawn comparisons to the Stooges, Dr. Feelgoodand The Fall. Currently, they are set to drop their eponymous LP Round Eyewhich features saxophonist Steve Mackay (Stooges/Violent Femmes) andR. StevieMoore in June with a tour of the US with Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes setto begin in July to promote it.

Pillow fight, a decompression party to reduce theburden of work and life, is popular all over the world. It has the features ofrapid decompression, speed date and high interactivity and so on, which is anew “soft violence” vent mode and is more acceptable to introverted Chinesepeople. Ye Guan Jia net first introduced Pillow Fight toChinaandcreated the “Super Pillow Fight” brand. The party was held in Shanghai,Beijing,Shenzhen and other places once or twice a year, has been held consecutively for8 years, and each year new elements will be involved. It gets popular and isreported by the media at home and abroad for their diversified participants. Inthe Pillow Fight, participants hit each other with a pillow to release pressureand get joy in the “soft violence”.
