关于讲座 

9月22日，本杰明·布拉顿（Benjamin H. Bratton）将带来一场讲座，讨论他的新项目“地球化”（The Terraforming）。该研究项目以技术、哲学和生态学的角度，并从星球的尺度来探讨城市化问题。他将介绍其新书 《地球化（TheTerraforming）》中的重要观念。

地球化（The Terraforming）是一个综合项目，旨在从根本上改变地球城市、技术和生态系统，以确保我们的星球仍将能够支持类地球生命。人工、自动化和天文学形成了另外一种星球化（planetarity）的基础。

地球化（The Terraforming）系一个三年时长的研究计划，举办于莫斯科Strelka研究所。目前，该项目正在召集建筑、城市规划、电影制作、数字媒体、互动设计、计算机技术、社会研究、物理科学和其他领域内具有不同背景和工作经验的专业人士提交申请。该项目免学费，研究人员将获得津贴。欲了解更多信息，请访问网站https://theterraforming.strelka.com/

本杰明·布拉顿（Benjamin Bratton）的工作涉及哲学、艺术、设计和计算机科学。他是加州大学圣地亚哥分校视觉艺术教授， 上海纽约大学客座教授，莫斯科Strelka媒体、建筑和设计研究所“新常规”（The New Normal）的项目主任。他著有《堆栈：关于软件和主权（The Stack: On Software and Sovereignty）》（麻省理工学院出版社）。

About the Lecture 

On September 22, Benjamin H. Bratton will bring us a talk about his new project The Terraforming, a research program exploring urbanism at planetary scale from technical, philosophical and ecological perspectives. He will present the key ideas of his new book, The Terraforming from Strelka Press.

The Terraforming is the comprehensive project to fundamentally transform Earth cities, technologies, and ecosystems to ensure that the planet will be capable of supporting Earth-like life. Artificiality, automation, and astronomy form the basis of the alternative planetarity.

The Terraforming is planned as a three-year research cycle held at Strelka Institute in Moscow. It is now calling for applications for professionals with varied backgrounds and work experience in the fields of architecture, urbanism, filmmaking, digital media, interactive design, computer technologies, social studies, physical sciences and other fields.  About the Speaker 

Benjamin Bratton's work spans Philosophy, Art, Design and Computer Science. He is Professor of Visual Arts of California, San Diego. He is also Visiting Professor at NYU Shanghai, and Program Director of The New Normal programme at Strelka Institute of Media, Architecture and Design in Moscow. He is the author of The Stack: On Software and Sovereignty (MIT Press).
