Shanghai 7s Long Lunch Tickets on Sale Now!

The Shanghai 7s are taking place on Saturday June 18 this year, and as always the weekend’s proceedings kick off with a nice long lunch on the Friday to welcome teams, officials and VIP guests. And also, let's be perfectly honest, to skive the afternoon off work, get a little bit sloshed and listen to some good tales.

The keynote speakers this year will be three former Springboks - captain and number eight Gary Teichmann (pictured above), flanker and number eight Bob Skinstad, and hooker John Allan, who represented both South Africa and Scotland. Between them, they are sure to have some interesting anecdotes from the life on the pitch (as well , we are confident, as some amusing ones from off it).

The whole thing goes down at Le Royal Meridien on Friday June 17 from noon until 4pm, with tickets RMB1,000 each or RMB9,000 for a table of ten. That includes a top notch three-course meal and free-flow Heineken, wine and soft drinks, with proceeds going to develop rugby in Shanghai, all supported by St. James's Place.
