Truck Flips Over Illegally Using Middle Ring Road

A truck carrying dozens of tubular pipes on Middle Ring Road flipped over after crashing into a cement divider at approximately 12:10am this morning, causing severe damage to the road and surrounding areas.

The fallen pipes caused a 40-centimeter crack on the surface of the road. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported. According to the Shanghai Road Administration Bureau, large trucks are banned from running on the elevated road. Now we know why...
The section between Gulang Road and Gonghe Overpass has shut down after the accident until further notice. The Bureau estimates that it may take up to two weeks to resume traffic in this area.
