Shanghai Breaks World Record for Largest Tea Party
By Tatiana Bautista
On June 14, 735 people gathered to set a Guinness World Record of the largest cream tea party at the Intercontinental Ruijin, shattering the previous record of 691 participants set in Swindon, UK. The affair was packed with guests sipping on cups of tea, accompanied by scones complete with clotted cream and jam. The tea party commemorated Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday and was hosted by the Consulate General of the UK.
