New Open Air Yoga Café Pop-up: Yogalicious

Fans of sunny rooftops, yoga, smoothie bowls, coffee and chia seeds, Shanghai has answered your calls: there's now an awesome little studio/café pop-up doing all of the above simultaneously.Taking over the former Le Petit Franck space in the former French Concession's Ferguson Lane complex, Yogalicious is a café and open air yoga studio pop-up serving healthy eats, tea and coffee. When they're not doing yoga classes, the space makes for a great hidden hang out spot, with chill vibes and plenty of sunshine (albeit with no WiFi, but maybe that's a good thing?).The menu is small but good value, and includes a selection of four healthy smoothie bowls for RMB35/50 , morning porridges with chia and/or maca for RMB35-40, protein balls, and Stoneground nut butters (they're delicious btw).Opting for extreme health, we went for a small 'Best Day of My Life' bowl with spirulina, kale, banana, mango, peanut butter and coconut milk. It's pretty tasty, and good value for the size – ask for yours without honey if you're doing that whole no-sugar thing. They're also hosting open air yoga classes on the roof terrace on Monday and Sunday evenings from 6-7pm, and Thursday mornings from 8-9am.

On Saturdays they have a special 'bikini yoga' session (steady yourself, chaps) from 9.30am-noon to catch the last of the summer rays. Aspiring yogis can keep abreast of the detailed schedule via their WeChat account (Yogalicious_Angie). But like all good things, Yogalicious won't be around forever. They'll be shutting up shop when the weather turns at the end of October, but have vowed to return in spring next year. Best make the most of it while you still can – and sneak in a few last-minute tanning sessions.Price: RMB35-50
Who's going: yogis, clean eaters, bronzed young locals and expats
Good for: hangouts, smoothie bowls, health food, yoga
