See 30 Years of Shanghai's Growth with These Cool Timelapses

We love us a good timelapse, and this latest project from Google, NASA and Carnegie Mellon University may just be our new favorite.

Google Earth Engine's brand new timelapse feature recently went public, letting you watch cities transform before your eyes via five million satellite images captured over a period of 32 years.

Take a look at the mind-boggling transformation of Shanghai from 1984 to 2016 below.
