Cotton Club is Closing This Week

First, they took away JZ Club (which now has a new home). Now Fuxing Lu is bidding adieu to The Cotton Club. After 19 years, the venerable blues and jazz club will shut its doors on March 25. 

Owner Greg Smith tells That's Shanghai:

"The party on the corner is over. The Cotton Club will have its last show on March 25th. But not to worry, we shall rise again."

They will also be hosting their last open mic night tonight for people to pay tribute.
