Thursday, Apr 6: Thomas Stabenow presents Li Xiaochuan
Two years ago, German bassist Thomas Stabenow teamed with Chinese trumpeter Li Xiaochuan for an album of refined, acoustic world jazz. They’ve finally linked up again to bring the disc to life on a tour of China. Tom Peng New Grass Band opens.

Saturday, Apr 8: Sofar Sounds Shanghai
International project Sofar Sounds curates concerts around the world with local line-ups.They keep the setlist under wraps until the show starts in order to discourage people only showing up for the headliner. This weekend's show will be held a secret location somehwere in M50. It's free, but you must sign up to get on the guestlist.

Saturday, Apr 8: Folk Music for Folks Who Can't Behave Like Folks
This showcase for China-based folk bands includes Matz Andersson (pictured), a Swedish-Chilean singer and finger-picking guitarist based in Ningbo; "dark folk//acoustic prog rock" duo Galēən; folk performer John Carroll and blues-rock band DaHaHas. Entry is free.
