Arkham Officially Reopens Today

After closing down for a safety check that was supposed to last for a weekend and ended up lasting for all eternity, Arkham's fate hung in the balance. But all ends well for the fashion-forward underground club, as it has secured impressive new digs at Found 158 and is throwing its official opening parties tonight.
Arkham dipped a toe back into the murky waters of Shanghai nightlife last month with “Generasian,” a pop-up branded party with performances by hip hop group Killa Crew. However, the first ticketed events open to the public go down tomorrow and Saturday. Tomorrow night sees A$AP J Scott and A$AP Lou of Cozy Boys come through for a live performance from owners STD, while on Saturday, SHFT hosts dubstep producer Excision. Both shows are typical of what you'd see at the original Arkham, so the music policy will likely be the same at this new spot.
The club lists its address as Found 158, but it’s actually located right next door, where an old marble staircase leading down to the door makes for a very dramatic entryway. Inside, the club looks and feels exactly like Arkham’s original location to an almost uncanny degree, and it seems poised to reclaim its status a self-described “notoriously contagious spot of youth, culture and unearthly energies.”
