Largest Hello Kitty Indoor Theme Park Coming to Shanghai in 2018

'Kawaii' lovers, mark your calendars. China’s first indoor Hello Kitty Theme Park will open in Shanghai October 2018.

The park will occupy three floors of Shanghai Mart shopping mall on Nanjing Dong Lu, taking up space equivalent to five Olympic-size swimming pools

The mall’s proprietor, Shimao Group told a news conference on Wednesday the park will pay homage to the city’s history, with each floor to feature design elements from three different eras of Shanghai.

The group plans to invest about RMB200 million in the park and are expecting around 3000 visitors per day, according to Shanghai Daily.

In 2015, a massive Hello Kitty outdoor park was opened in Huzhou, Zhejiang.
