June 29: Great Earl of Hell Black Metal Night w/ Ronove

Inferno hosts this black metal night with a performance by Chinese extreme metal band Ronove. They keep their identities hidden, and are named  after a "Marquis and Great Earl of Hell" in demonology who commands  twenty legions of demons. That's pretty metal. Cover price includes a  drink.

June 30: State Champs

Pop punk band State Champs, who hail from Upstate New York, visit Shanghai for a set at Yuyintang. They just released a deluxe version of their acclaimed second album, Around the World and Back, and are touring through China as part of an expansive world tour.

June 30: Milu

French performer and “one-man band” Milu mixes intense electronic music with hardcore punk’s screaming vocals, bass and guitar.He performs in costume in incorporates video and theater into his shows. Performing in support is Loudspeaker, one of Shanghai's most veteran hardcore punk bands. Cover price includes a drink.

July 1: P.O.E. Album Release + Final On Stage Show

P.O.E, an Anhui-based rap group whose name stands for "Peace Over Evil" drops their latest album with a release show performance at On Stage. Chinese-Indonesian hip-hop group Half a Blunt will perform in support.  This is likely your last chance to see a live show at On Stage, which is closing along with the rest of Red Town in early July.

July 1: Shanghai Express

Express is a music showcase that features indie rock bands from around China. For the Shanghai installment, HazeSounds and Shengjian Records chose 3 bands from different cities: Shanghai shoegaze band Soft, Nanjing rockers Schoolgirl Byebye, and Xiamen noise pop band The White Tulips.
