Boxing Cat Brewery in Hongqiao is Closed

Well damn, the That's F&B obituary desk has had an unusually busy week, culminating (we hope) in the untimely demise of Boxing Cat Brewery's Hongqiao branch.
Why, pray tell? It was in a mall. Apparently people don't go to malls to drink craft beer. However, all the other locations are still alive and very much open for your consideration – there might even be a new Boxing Cat 'experience' in the near future.
Peep the refreshingly candid official statement below:
"Hong Qiao had an amazing 2 years and we thank everyone for your patronage and support.
We wanted to give a new developing mall a great beer option but the mall has progressively become more of a family oriented mall, which is a hard fit for us.
We want to focus on making our immediate other shops a better experience and we're excited to show a new Boxing Cat experience to you soon! Stay tuned..."
