Element Fresh Knockoff 'Fresh Element' Spotted in Vietnam
A knockoff of the successful China-based restaurant chain Element Fresh has been spotted in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The imitation, located at 95 Nguyễn Hữu Huân, blatantly imitates an Element Fresh restaurant front, the only difference being the rearrangement of the name and the addition of the slogan “Fresh From Taiwan.” Even the colorful logo wasn’t safe from mimicry.
But, aside from being a knockoff, customers are raving about Fresh Element, which appears to have another location in Ha Long.
On Facebook, customer Chiển Chiêu wrote: “View beautiful, friendly staff. Good bar that always seats guests!”
On Vinalo, customer Nguyễn Ngân Bích said of the restaurant: “Clean, courteous, the drinks are delicious. Serves especially good food.”
Based on the restaurant's Facebook photos, it appears that, in addition to food, Fresh Element offers hookah, and even nitrous oxide balloons to its diners, suggesting it doesn't hold the same health-conscious values as its Chinese counterpart.
Patrons can also enjoy a number of drinks served in what we assume are fake light bulbs, because, why not?
We must admit we had a bit of a chuckle when word of Fresh Element reached our ears, especially considering China’s tendency to rip off well-known Western food chains, like Beijing’s Subway copycat Sandwich:
And who could forget the fake Nando’s, appropriately titled Peri-Peri, also located in the Chinese capital.
