Like sipping pretty cocktails on rooftops? There's a festival for that.

The folks behind such merriment as FEAST Festival and Shanghai Supperclub have teamed up with the DRiNK magazine boozehounds to produce SIP, Shanghai's first cocktail focused festival, because why the fuck not?

For its inaugural edition, SIP will bring 10 of the city's best bartenders together on the rooftop of the McKinnon Hotel in Jing'an for a two-day celebration of all things cocktail. Aimed at being 'fun and informative,' presumably opposed to ragey and intense, SIP allows guests to interact with the mixologists defining Shanghai's bar scene, and of course taste a diverse range of cocktails, wines and craft beers.

Repping the festival will be Eddy Yang (Tailor BarAbove the GlobeSecond Moment), Daniel An (ShrineTaste Buds Antique), Yao Lu (Union Trading Company) and many more.

And where there is booze, there will be chefs. Chefs like Freddy Raoult (The NestThe Cannery), Juan Campos (RAW), Jonathan Ynsensé (Maya) and Austin Hu (Madison KitchenDiner) who will be offering signature dishes in convenient handheld formats.

For guests interested in quenching their thirst for knowlege, DRiNK mag will be organizing masterclasses hosted by special guests on tricks of the bar industry. Those are limited capacity, so be sure to keep an eye out for them at the festival.
