Ever considered making the switch to a plant-based diet? Here's your chance!

Vegans of Shanghai is holding its second annual 21-day Vegan Challenge, and sign-ups are now open (more details below). The challenge starts on Sunday, March 25.

During the challenge, participants will solemnly swear not to eat animal products of any kind for a full 21 days. Over 40 restaurants across Shanghai will be offering awesome deals on plant-based dishes to help you stick to your pledge. There will also plenty of workshops and other fun activities taking place throughout challenge, including vegan speed dating and a veggie dog eating contest. The challenge will end with a closing bash.

Registration is RMB50, which gets you a swag bag filled with plant-based goodies from challenge sponsors, as well as a wrist band you'll use to claim discounts at participating restaurants. And it's for a good cause too: a majority of the proceeds raised will be donated to Wuwei Animal Sanctuary, an NGO based in Henan province that provides shelter to hundreds of thousands of rescued animals.

Upgrade to the premium registration package, priced at RMB150, to receive daily guidance from professional nutritionists, who will be able to answer important questions, such as "where can I get protein?" and "how can I make my own vegan meal plan?"

Up for the challenge? Registration is now open, and the challenge will kick off with launch day event at the newly-renovated Happy Buddha on March 25, where you'll be able to pick up your green wristband and swag bag.
